Zack Brown is a senior pitcher who was named Horizon League Pitcher of the Year last season. He is expected to be the Panthers’ ace this year and will be relied upon to lead them to victory.

The Coaching Staff of UW-Milwaukee

The coaching staff of UW-Milwaukee is led by Head Coach Scott Doffek. Doffek has been with the program since its conception in 1997 and has been a part of all three of the team’s NCAA Tournament appearances. He is a two-time Midwest Coach of the Year and was named the Horizon League Coach of the Year in 2006.

Under his guidance, the team has won over 700 games and produced numerous professional players, including two Major League Baseball All-Stars. The team’s pitching coach, Dan Parsons, has also been with the program since its inception. Parsons is a two-time recipient of the Horizon League Pitching Coach of the Year Award

The team’s hitting coach is Jarrett Shires, who joined the staff in 2013. Shires is a former professional player and has spent time coaching at both the collegiate and professional levels.

Rounding out the Coaching Staff are assistant coaches Cory Barton and Nate Healy. Barton is in his first season with the team after spending time as an assistant at Valparaiso University Healy is also in his first season with UW-Milwaukee after serving as an assistant at Iowa Wesleyan University

UW-Milwaukee has a long and rich history in baseball. The team has been playing since 1886, and they have seen a lot of success over the years. The team has won two NCAA Division I championships, in 1977 and 1982. They have also made it to the College World Series six times, in 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, and 1956. In recent years the team has been rebuilding and they are starting to see some success again. They made it to the NCAA tournament in 2014 and 2015.
