The USC Upstate Baseball schedule is released and there are some can’t-miss games on the slate. Here are the games to Watch This Season

February 16 – USC Upstate at Clemson

This is always one of the biggest games on the schedule. USC Upstate will have their work cut out for them as they take on one of the top programs in the country.

March 8-10 – USC Upstate at Virginia Tech

USC Upstate will travel to Blacksburg to take on Virginia Tech in a three-game series This will be a good test for the Spartans as they take on a talentedACC opponent.

April 5-7 – USC Upstate vs. Davidson

USC Upstate will host Davidson for a three-game series. Davidson is always a tough opponent, so this will be a good test for the Spartans early in conference play

May 17-19 – USC Upstate at UNC Asheville

UNC Asheville is one of USC Upstate’s biggest rivals. The Bulldogs always give the Spartans a tough game, so this will be a good series to watch late in the season.

The Spartans will look to build on their success from last season

After a successful 2019 season in which they went 29-27 and finished second in the conference, the USC Upstate Spartans will look to build on that success in 2020. Head Coach Matt Fincher returns for his second season at the helm, and he’ll have a talented group of players to work with.

March 29-31: vs. Radford

The USC State Spartans will open their 2019 season on the road against the Clemson Tigers on February 15. The Spartans will then play host to the Wright State Raiders in their home opener on February 22. Other key games on the Spartans’ schedule include a three-game series against the defending NCAA champions, Oregon State in late March and a three-game set against instate rival Coastal Carolina in early May.

-March 7-10: USC Upstate will travel to Florida for a four-game series against Florida Gulf Coast The Spartans went 2-1 against the Eagles last season and will be looking to continue their success in this matchup.

-April 4-7: USC Upstate will host UNC Greensboro for a four-game series. The Spartans swept the UNCG last season and will be looking to repeat that feat this year.

-May 16-19: The Spartans close out their Regular Season at home against Winthrop. USC Upstate has had success against the Eagles in recent years winning eight of the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

April 19- vs. Gardner-Webb (in Boiling Springs NC)
This is a key conference matchup for USC Upstate, as they take on one of their biggest rivals in Gardner-Webb. The Spartans will look to get revenge after losing all four games to Gardner-Webb last year.

May 17- vs. High Point (in High Point NC)
This is the final regular season series for USC Upstate, and it will be an important one as they take on High Point The Panthers are always one of the top teams in the conference, and USC UpSTATE will look to solidify their spot in the Conference Standings with a win in this series.

The Hokies are always near the top of the ACC standings and reached the College World Series last year, so this will be a great opportunity for the Spartans to make a statement early in the season.

4/24-26 at UNC Asheville – This will be a huge series for USC Upstate as they battle one of their biggest rivals for first place in the conference standings. UNC Asheville is always near the top of the Big South so this series could have major implications come tournament time.

5/11-13 at Liberty – Liberty is another team that is always near the top of the conference standings, so this will be another crucial series for USC Upstate. These two teams could very well meet again in the Conference Tournament so this series could give one team a big advantage heading into that matchup.

5/17-19 vs. Gardner-Webb – This final Regular Season series against Gardner-Webb could once again have conference implications on the line. These two teams always compete for conference supremacy, so this three-game set could go a long way towards determining who wins the conference title this year.
