UCM Baseball: Must-See Games This Season

The UCM Baseball Team is gearing up for another exciting season! Here are some must-see games on their schedule:

3/3 vs. Texas Tech
3/10 vs. Oklahoma State
3/24 vs. Baylor
4/7 vs. TCU
4/14 vs. Kansas

The Team

The UCM baseball team is looking to build on a promising 2018 season in which they finished 31-22 overall and 19-11 in the MIAA. The team is led by a strong core of returning seniors, including All-MIAA honorable mention shortstop Cale O’Donnell (.265, 6 HR, 33 RBI) and pitcher Michael Haynes (6-3, 3.38 ERA). The Mules will look to these experienced players to help them compete for an MIAA title in 2019.

The schedule for the 2019 season includes several must-see games. The team opens the season at home against Quincy on February 15th. This will be the first of four games against Quincy this season. The Mules then travel to Florida for a six-game stretch, which includes three games against conference opponents. They return home on March 10th to take on Central Oklahoma, one of the best teams in the MIAA. The game against Central Oklahoma is the first of eight straight conference contests.

Other key games on the schedule include a three-game series against Missouri Western (April 12-14), a four-game set against Nebraska Omaha (April 26-28), and a rematch with Central Oklahoma on May 10th. Be sure to catch the UCM baseball team in action this season!

The UCM Baseball Team has released their schedule for the upcoming season Below are some of the must-see games this season.

March 3: season opener against Northwest Missouri State

March 10-12: Home series against Nebraska Kearney

March 17-19: Home series against Washburn

April 7-9: Home series against Missouri Western

May 5-7: Home series against Central Oklahoma

The season opens at home against SEMO on February 14th, and the first conference Home game is March 3rd against Buffalo. On April 14th and 15th, the Mules host Missouri State for what is sure to be two exciting games MSU is currently ranked #24 in the nation by perfect game so these games are sure to be challenging.

In May, the Mules have several big conference games at home against Conference foes such as Omaha, Wichita State and Illinois State The season wraps up at home on May 19th against Oral Roberts

UCM’s M liter Stadium is located at the southwest corner of campus, just north of Union Station. The stadium boasts 2,500 chairback seats, 3 concessions stands, 8 restrooms, a spacious concourse, and a state of the art press box. A new entrance and ticket Plaza enhances the game day experience for fans and makes it easy to access the stadium.

The UCM Baseball team has a long and storied history, dating back to its origins in the late 19th century. The team has won numerous championships and produced many Major League Baseball players. Today, the team is a Division I program and competes in the Missouri Valley Conference

March 2 vs Southeast Missouri State University
This will be the first game of the season and it is sure to be a good one. The SEMO Redhawks are always a tough opponent and the Mules will be looking to start the season off on the right foot.

March 16-17 vs Lindenwood University
The Lindenwood Lions are one of UCM’s biggest rivals. These two teams always seem to play each other close, so you can expect two great games.

April 13-14 vs Pittsburg State University
The Gorillas are always a tough team and this will be a good test for the Mules. This series could have big implications in the Conference Standings so it is sure to be a must-see.
