The Rock of Ages Musical is headed to Austin! The show will be playing at the Paramount Theatre from May 5-7.
Rock of Ages is a jukebox musical built around classic rock hits from the 1980s. The show tells the story of a small town girl who falls in love with a big city rocker, and features hits such as “We Built This City” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

The Show Must Go On: Rock of Ages Musical Headed to Austin
The long-running Broadway musical Rock of Ages is heading to Austin, Texas. The show, which first opened on Broadway in 2009, tells the story of a group of friends who work at a Hollywood nightclub in the 1980s. The musical features hits from bands such as Journey, Poison, and Whitesnake.
Despite the global pandemic, Rock of Ages producer Matt Weaver says that the show must go on. “Our goal has always been to bring this show to as many people as possible,” Weaver said in a statement. “We’re excited to be able to bring the party to Austin.”
The Rock of Ages musical will run at the ZACH Theatre in Austin from August 12-September 12, 2021. Tickets go on sale May 21.
