How Many Players In the NBA Will Be 2021 All-Stars?

The answer to this question is difficult to predict because it largely depends on the performance of players during the 2020-2021 season. However, we can take a look at some of the top contenders and make an educated guess.

How Many Players In the NBA Will Be 2021 All-Stars?

Kyrie Irving- Brooklyn Nets

Kyrie Irving has been a fan favorite throughout his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. His career averages of 23.8 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game have made him one of the best players in the league. He was named an All-Star in each of his first six seasons.

Brooklyn’s record with Kyrie

The Brooklyn Nets are an American professional basketball team based in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The Nets compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member club of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The team plays its home games at Barclays Center. They are one of two NBA teams located in New York City; the other is the New York Knicks. The franchise was established in 1967 as a charter member of the NBA’s rival league, the American Basketball Association (ABA). They played in New Jersey as the New Jersey Americans during their first season, before relocating to Long Island, New York, in 1968 and changing their name to the New York Nets. During this time, the Nets won two ABA championships (in 1976 and 1977). In 1976, after losing in the ABA Finals, David Stern announced that basketball would return to Brooklyn; Frank Menechino was hired Lenny Wilkens as head coach.

The Nets moved back to New Jersey after acquiring Julius Erving, who led them to their second ABA title–winning 103–93 over Denver–in 1977. In 1981 they traded Erving to Philadelphia for Roy Hinson, Dave Corzine, cash considerations, and a first-round draft pick that eventually became Micheal Ray Richardson; they subsequently drafted Drazen Petrovic with their third pick. Despite having moved back to Jersey, they still managed 47 wins while playing all their home games at Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford; Menechino resigned midway through the 1981–82 season and was replaced by Kevin Loughery.

In 1983 they acquired Sidney Moncrief from Milwaukee for cash considerations and a second round draft pick that eventually became Jay Humphries. They made another deep playoff run led by Moncrief and Richardson but lost game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals against PHI 107-102 despite having a 16 point lead in fourth quarter .”

Kyrie’s stats

Kyrie Irving is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was named NBA Rookie of the Year after being selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft. Kyrie was an All-Star in 2014 and 2015. He won an NBA championship with the Cavaliers in 2016.

In his second season, Irving was selected to play in the 2012 Rising Stars Challenge. In 2014, he won gold medals with Team USA at both the World Championships and FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Joel Embiid- Philadelphia 76ers

Joel Embiid is projected to be one of the 2021 NBA All-Stars. The Philadelphia 76ers’ center is a two-time All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2019. He is averaging 22.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game this season.

Philadelphia’s record with Joel

The Philadelphia 76ers are an American professional basketball team based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 76ers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Eastern Conference Atlantic Division and play at Wells Fargo Center.

The 76ers have had a storied history, with many of the greatest players in NBA history playing for the organization, including Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, and Allen Iverson. The team has also been home to such as Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Shaquille O’Neal. They have won three NBA championships, with their first coming as the Syracuse Nationals in 1955. The second title came in 1967, a team which was led by Chamberlain. The third title came in 1983, won by a team led by Malone. The 76ers have only been back to the NBA Finals once since then: in 2001, where they were led by Iverson and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games.

The Sixers have had some struggles since their last title win in 1983. In fact, they did not make it back to the playoffs until 1999 – a full 16 years later! They made it to the Conference Finals that year but lost to the eventual champion Lakers. They would make it back to the Conference Finals again in 2001 but lose to the Los Angeles Lakers again. It wasn’t until 2003 that they were able to make it back to the NBA Finals but they fell short against the San Antonio Spurs.

Since then, there have been more downs than ups for Sixers fans. In 2006–07 they finished with their worst record in over 30 years (21 wins and 61 losses). Things bottomed out again in 2013 when they finished with an abysmal 19–63 record; this was their third-worst season ever (behind only 1972–73 and 1973–74). Finally, after years of futility Sixers fans were rewarded when their team finished with a 50–32 record in 2017 and made it all the way back to the Eastern Conference Finals before losing to eventual champion Cleveland Cavaliers 4 games to 2; this was their best season since 2000–01 when they last reachedthe NBA Finals.. After losing key players during free agency following 2017–18 (most notably All-Star center Jimmy Butler),

Entering 2019–20 season Joel Embiid is one of only two players remaining from that 2017 conference finals squad (the other being JJ Redick). Under head coach Brett Brown, Embiid has transformed into one of basketball’s top all-around talents: an excellent scorer near the basket with an improving mid-range and perimeter game who is also one of the best rebounders and defenders in the league; he is often compared to Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon due his Nigerian nationality, shooting touch, and defensive ability. On January 20th 2020 he scored 42 points against Minnesota Timberwolves . He was named an All-Star for 2019 All Star game held on February 17 2019 where he scored 19 points .He won MVP for 2020 All Star game on February 16 2020 held at United center Chicago ,IL where he scored 31 points .

Joel’s stats

In the 2019-2020 season, Joel averaged 23.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 49.3% from the field and 31.6% from three-point range. He was named an All-Star starter for the second consecutive year and was voted as a starter for the All-NBA Second Team.

LeBron James- Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have had a fantastic season so far and are currently leading the Western Conference. Their success is largely due to the play of their superstar, LeBron James. James is averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game and is once again looking like the best player in the world. With the All-Star game coming up, we take a look at how many Lakers could potentially be named All-Stars.

Los Angeles’ record with LeBron

LeBron James is a professional basketball player who has played for the Los Angeles Lakers since 2018. In his first season with the team, the Lakers finished with a record of 58-24, good for first place in the Western Conference. They made it to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Golden State Warriors in six games.

In his second season with the team, James led the Lakers to a record of 52-19, once again good for first place in the conference. They made it to the NBA Finals, where they defeated the Miami Heat in six games to win James’ fourth championship.

This season, James is currently averaging 25.4 points per game, 7.9 rebounds per game, and 7.8 assists per game while shooting 49.8% from the field and 36.6% from three-point range. The Lakers have a record of 34-22 and are currently in third place in the conference.

In his 17th season, James is averaging 25.4 points (fifth in the NBA), a career-high 10.6 assists (second) and 7.9 rebounds (seventh) while shooting a career-best .836 from the foul line and career-worst .341 from 3-point range. He’s also averaging a career-high 1.2 steals (eighth) and is tied for 11th in blocks at 1.0 per game.

Kawhi Leonard- Los Angeles Clippers

Kawhi Leonard is one of the best players in the NBA and is a lock to be voted an All-Star starter for the 2021 season. He is averaging 27.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from three-point range. Leonard is also a two-time defensive player of the year and is widely considered to be the best two-way player in the league.

Los Angeles’ record with Kawhi

The Los Angeles Clippers are an American professional basketball team based in Los Angeles. The Clippers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league’s Western Conference Pacific Division. They play their home games at Staples Center, an arena shared with fellow NBA team the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

The franchise began play in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, one of three expansion teams to join the NBA that year. The Braves moved from Buffalo, New York to San Diego, California in 1978 and became known as the San Diego Clippers. In 1984, The Clippers moved to Los Angeles. Through much of its history, the franchise failed to see significant regular season or playoff success. Since acquiring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in 2019, they have vastly improved and made it to the 2020 NBA Finals. Kawhi Leonard was named Finals MVP for leading them there.

Kawhi’s stats

Kawhi Leonard is a small forward for the Los Angeles Clippers. Leonard has played in 7 NBA seasons and has been voted an All-Star starter 6 times. He was the NBA Finals MVP in 2014 and 2020.

Nikola Jokic- Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokic has been on an absolute tear this season. He is averaging a triple double with 27.4 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game. He is also shooting an absurd 62.5% from the field and 41.8% from three point range. The big man from Serbia is clearly the best player on the Denver Nuggets and is one of the best players in the entire NBA. The question is, how many other players will join him as All-Stars this season?

Denver’s record with Nikola

Since Nikola Jokic joined the Denver Nuggets in 2015, the team has had a record of 284-206 (.579). That includes a 54-28 mark (.659) in 2018-19, when Jokic made his first All-Star Game appearance.

Jokic has been named an All-Star in each of the past three seasons. He was named to the All-NBA First Team in 2019 and 2020 and was named the NBA MVP in 2020.

Nikola’s stats

Nikola Jokic is a Serbian professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played for Mega Basket of the Adriatic League and the Serbian national team before being selected by the Nuggets with the 41st pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Jokic was voted as an All-Star starter for the first time in 2020, and was named to the All-NBA First Team and the NBA All-Defensive Second Team. He helped lead the Nuggets to their first Western Conference title in over a decade.

Rudy Gobert- Utah Jazz

In order for a player to be selected as an All-Star, they must be voted in by the fans, the media, and the coaches. All-Star weekend takes place during February and is one of the most highly anticipated events of the NBA season. The game itself is a showcase of the league’s best players, and the skills competition and dunk contest are always must-see TV. So, how many players in the NBA will be 2021 All-Stars?

Utah’s record with Rudy

The Utah Jazz have the best record in the NBA since Rudy Gobert joined the team in 2013. They have gone 302-154 (.662) with him in the lineup and have made the playoffs in each of his seven seasons.

Gobert has been named an All-Star twice, and he was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2018. He is one of the best rim protectors in the league, and his impact on the Jazz goes beyond his numbers.

The Jazz are a different team when Gobert is on the court, and they would not be where they are today without him.

Rudy’s stats

Rudy Gobert-Utah Jazz
Rudy Gobert is a French professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represents the French national team in the international competitions. Standing at 7 feet 1 inch (2.16 m), he plays at the center position. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets with the 27th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft, and was later traded to Utah on draft night.

In 2016–17, Gobert became an NBA All-Star for the first time and was named to both the All-NBA First Team and the NBA All-Defensive First Team. He won back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year awards in 2018 and 2019, becoming only the third player ever to do so, after Ben Wallace and Dikembe Mutombo.

Damian Lillard- Portland Trail Blazers

As the 2020-2021 NBA season is underway, the Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard is leading the charge and putting up some great numbers. He is averaging 28.8 points per game, 7.5 assists per game, and 4.3 rebounds per game. With these stats, it is safe to say that Lillard is having an All-Star season.

Portland’s record with Damian

The Portland Trail Blazers have a record of 26-18 with Damian Lillard on the court this season. With Lillard, the Trail Blazers are averaging 115.4 points per game and have a true shooting percentage of 58.5%. The Trail Blazers are also averaging 11.3 assists and 4.9 turnovers per game with Lillard on the court.

Damian’s stats

In his eighth season, Lillard is averaging 28.7 points (sixth in the NBA), 7.9 assists (10th in the NBA) and 4.3 rebounds per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from three-point range and 92.1 percent from the free-throw line. He has scored 20 or more points in 24 consecutive games, the second-longest streak of 20-plus games in his career (30 games in 2014-15). He has also recorded 20 or more points and 10 or more assists in eight consecutive games, matching his career-long streak (also eight games from March 3-22, 2017).

Russell Westbrook- Houston Rockets

Houston Rockets superstar Russell Westbrook was snubbed from the 2020 All-Star game. He is looking to redeem himself this season and prove that he is still one of the best players in the league. With the All-Star game being held in his hometown of Atlanta, Westbrook has extra motivation to make it this year.

Houston’s record with Russell

Houston is currently 24-17, which is the 4th best record in the Western Conference. They are just 2.5 games back of the Utah Jazz for the 2nd seed. They are also only 1 game back of the Los Angeles Clippers for the 3rd seed. Houston has been playing very well as of late, winning 8 out of their last 10 games.

A big reason for their success has been the play of Russell Westbrook. He is averaging 24.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. He is also shooting 47.2% from the field and 35.9% from three-point range. Westbrook is having an All-Star caliber season and has been a huge help to Houston’s offense.

The Rockets have gone 17-10 with Westbrook in the lineup this season. That includes a 13-6 record when he starts alongside James Harden in the backcourt. It is clear that Houston is a much better team when Westbrook is on the court, and they will need him to continue playing at a high level if they want to make a deep run in the playoffs this season

Russell’s stats

Russell Westbrook is an American professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is a nine-time NBA All-Star, and earned the All-Star Game MVP Award in 2015. He also was a member of the All-NBA Third Team in 2016 and 2017. Westbrook played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins and was selected with the fourth overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is one of two players in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season, along with Oscar Robertson in 1961–62.

In 2017, he set the record for most triple-doubles in a season with 42, and helped lead the Thunder to their first playoffs appearance in four years. That same year, Westbrook became one of two players in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season, along with Oscar Robertson in 1961–62. He was subsequently named the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) that year. Westbrook again led the league in triple-doubles during the 2018–19 season, becoming only the second player ever to do so for three consecutive seasons.
