Based in the UK, Ultraviolet Music was founded in 2006 by John Askew and Manuel Le Saux. The label has quickly become one of the most respected names in trance, thanks to its consistently high-quality releases. 2009 was a big year for Ultraviolet, with John Askew’s “Gallaxia” and Manuel Le Saux’s “Sorrow” both becoming huge hits. Other highlights included releases from Dave 202, Mark Sherry, and Activa.

ARMADA MUSIC
Armada is one of the biggest names in electronic dance music, and its trance imprint is responsible for some of the genre’s biggest hits. In 2009, Armada Trance released tracks from some of the biggest names in trance, including Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, rank 1, and Cosmic Gate. The label also put out some great mix compilations this year, including “A State of Trance Yearmix 2009” and “Armada at Ibiza.”

ANJUNABEATS
Anjunabeats is another UK-based label that has been making waves in the trance scene over the past few years.
